This italian red wine is made of a majority of Montepulciano but also Merlot. Matured and stored for 18 months in French barrique oak barrels. A dark ruby red is accompanied by intese fruit aromas of red berries and cassis with nuances of spices of Mediterranean cooking. Nose and mouth are charmed in the opening but also in the long finish with fine tannins. The barrel notes of cocoa and vanilla and some tobacco accompany this wine.
Drinking maturity: at once or stored; with optimum storage a minimum of 6 years. Drinking temperature: 18-22 °C, open the bottle 30 minutes before drinking. Bottle closing: natural cork. Alcohol content: 13% vol. Matching to: red meat, finest barbeques, roast meat, venison, finest Mediterranean cooking.
